Our activities
Kraków Water has for years been carrying out activities aimed at cooperation with the residents of Kraków, the local community. They take initiatives to increase access to good water straight from the tap. Join our actions!
Drinking fountains
In May 2017 we proceeded with a new project called "In Kraków good water straight from the tap at your school". Its aim is to equip Kraków schools with devices that provide easy, hygienic and safe access to drinking water from the waterworks system. At the turn of 2017 and 2018 we made drinking fountains available in public utility buildings ("In Kraków good water straight from the tap at your bureau"). In March 2018 we began another stage of our campaign called "In Kraków good water straight from the tap in your hospital".
In restaurants
Within information campaign "In Kraków good water straight from the tap", Kraków Water started an action "In Kraków we drink tap water". The action is addressed to the owners of Kraków restaurants who serve the tap water to their guests and those who intend to do it. We also invite the newly formed restaurants!
For Seniors
Social and educational campaign “Cheers to your health. Senior drink tap water!” was launched on 1 October 2020 as part our campaign - “In Kraków good water straight from the tap”. Its aim is to draw attention to the fact that people aged 60+ need to drink water regularly, because they are at greater risk of dehydration than younger persons.
Talks
Do you want to reduce plastic consumption in your workplace, introduce healthy habits among your employees and promote drinking tap water? Don't know how to convince them? Start by organizing a lecture with our water expert. The lecture lasts up to 60 minutes and can be conducted in the form of stationary, online or hybrid. During the meeting you will learn what properties tap water has, how it is treated and what standards it must meet.
Education
For many years, Kraków Water has acted to protect the environment and promote ecological stances.The educational offer includes four programs four programs for various age groups. For educational purposes, virtual tours were developed in four water treatment plants and two sewage treatment plants. Thinking about the children, Kraków Water published the book "The Bathyscaphe expedition. The Skratek mission". Furthermore, two animated cartoons were made, "The tale of Kraków tap water" and "The tale of Kraków sewage treatment".
Educational cruises
From the deck of the ship with the eloquent name "Kraków", you can admire the picturesque landscape around the Dobczycki Reservoir and learn many details and interesting facts about the reservoir, its history and the important function it plays as a source of water for Kraków and Dobczyce. Participants of the cruise have the opportunity to see from the side of the lake the tower intake - an intake point for the Raba Water Treatment Plant, the dam, the castle hill and the Fish House (fish farm).
